For nearly two decades, an anonymous letter writer terrorized the town of Circleville, Ohio, by sending threatening letters that exposed alleged secrets about neighbors and friends. The mystery has long intrigued TV shows, podcasters and now "48 Hours" in the quest to finally unmask the writer.He then passed away. I recall reading that there were apparently two people who were writing all of the Circleville letters. This was based on two very different writing styles of letters received. Most of the letters were the blocked style format that you see in the UM episode.
